Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said GST collection in December at all Times High

The gross GST revenue collected in the month of December 2020 rose to 1,15,174 crore, a record-breaking month-to-month high since the execution of the new assessment system, as indicated by Finance Ministry. The December figures, which are 12% higher than the GST incomes in the exact month a year ago, are in accordance with the new pattern of recovery in the GST incomes, the Finance Ministry added.

It is the 3rd time in the financial year 2020 that the GST incomes have been more than 1 lakh crore.
